Meet Brian

Brian is a native English speaking teacher of English as a Foreign Language. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.A. and has lived all over the United States, but mostly in the Western states and along the West Coast (in California, Oregon and Washington states).
has a Bachelor's Degree from West Clayton University in Communications.
is a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certified teacher.
lives in the Philippines and has traveled in other Asian and Latin American countries for professional, social and recreational purposes.
has experience teaching English as a Foreign Language in South Korea and the Philippines.

Here’s how it works

All lessons are 50 minutes and are conducted over Skype, a free, online video phone service. (Please see details about Skype below.) We’ll see and hear each other, as if we’re in the same room! Our classes will focus on listening and speaking in English, and clear communication is our goal. Our conversations are completely personalized and customized for you. We can talk about anything: hobbies and interests, arts and entertainment, your job, current events, our cultures and customs, sight-seeing in the U.S.A., etc. It is not important what we talk about, as long as you're speaking English and communicating with a native speaker. Also, as we speak I’ll offer grammar and vocabulary corrections. It’s fine to make mistakes, because the goal is to practice communicating in English. All conversations are over Skype!

Skype allows us to see and hear each other, from anywhere in the world! If you already use Skype, I can call your current user ID. If you don’t have a Skype ID, it’s easy and free to download. Go to www.skype.com and follow the directions to download Skype. It takes just a few minutes. Also, you will need a microphone/headset, so that your voice doesn’t echo when we speak. Payment

All 50 minute sessions are $25 U.S. dollars. If you purchase 5 lessons at once, it will only cost $110 (a $15 discount). Payments can be made by credit card through PayPal. Payments must be received before scheduling an appointment. Conversations can be rescheduled with no charge if you notify me more than 24 hours before the appointment.

Scheduling

Payment must be received before scheduling an appointment. You’ll be asked to enter your payment receipt number from PayPal when scheduling. Also make sure you have your Skype ID. If you need to download Skype, please go to skype.com. It just takes a few minutes!

If you have a Skype ID, please go to Step 2. If you don’t have a Skype ID, it’s very easy to get one! Go to www.skype.com and follow the directions there. Then go to Step 2.

Choose how many appointments you'd like to buy, then click the button to pay through PayPal.

You can purchase as many conversations as you’d like, and then schedule appointments, whenever it is convenient for you. (Go to Step 3.)
